The Annual 9/11 Gratitude Ride to Benefit Pasco County Fire Rescue hosted by Pasco County Choppers.
The event is open to the public! Please join as we memorialize 9/11 and honor the First Responders in our own back yard. Come out and ride with us as we show our gratitude to the men and women of our local Emergency Services. We will be making a 50 mile Poker Run with stops at (2) fire stations in Pasco, and extending a hand to say "Thanks for the work you do." It's been 13 years since the events of 9-11-01. Show the First Responders of our community how we will NEVER FORGET that tragic day, and every day they run into danger.
The event will begin along Quail Hollow in Wesley Chapel at 8:30 a.m. with a brief ceremony at 9:45 a.m.to honor those that made the ultimate sacrifice, and to those that continue to serve our community. Kick stands up at 10:00 a.m..
Following the ceremony and “poker run”, there will be a memorial party under the large oaks back at Hungry Harry’s featuring a free concert with The Greg Billings Band. Event T-Shirts will be for sale during the event as well as Food, 50/50, Raffle, Vendors and More. ALL PROCEEDS will go directly to the first responders and their families through the Pasco County Fire Rescue Benevolent Fund.
Last year there were approximately 150 bikes that showed up, so this event is well attended and local media will be there. This is one of the few Fire Rescue support rides throughout the year, so if you can make it, please do. Please bring something to drink so you can hydrate while we participate in the short memorial service.
Lets meet at the 7-11 on the corner HWY 41 and HWY 54 at 8:00 a.m., We will get a head count and safety brief and head out to Quail Hollow Our KSU will be 8:30 a.m.
