Hello Patriots Nation Of Tampa,
I would like to thank each of you for making this another exciting season of football cheering on the Patriots each week at Boston’s! Your participation & support has helped to grow this group into one of the best fan clubs around. We have a very good reputation within the Tampa area that many of you may not be aware of… I can’t tell you how often people have described “hearing of the club and that Boston’s is the place to be if you are a New England sports fan!” It is because of the friendly people who make up this group and all of the support received from the Boston’s management/staff that makes the club what it is. And while the end result was not what we had hoped for, it was another successful ride during what was expected to be a rebuilding season. I expect the Patriots to be an even better and more dynamic team next year.
For those of you who are Boston Red Sox fans, please don’t forget to also join that group. You can find the link on my profile page. We already have events scheduled on the calendar including trips to Spring Training, which is fast approaching next month.
Many have also asked about watch parties for the Celtics & Bruins. I am more than happy to schedule these events as well make arrangements with Boston’s management. I may need some assistance from a few of you members to act as event leaders due to the number of games in both sports… so please let me know if you would like to volunteer.
While the season is fresh in your mind, I would like to hear back from you on ways we can make the experience for you even better for next season. Are there specials or events you liked or were maybe not too fond of… specifics like did you like the Dos Equis glass giveaways, favorite foods, raffle item suggestions, reservations, etc? I plan to share your comments with Boston’s management to see how we can build upon our great relationship.
As most of you are aware, I strongly encourage feedback & suggestions from you regarding all of or scheduled activities. If you have issues with your experience while at Boston’s, you should discuss the matter immediately with either the manager on duty during the game or myself. It is very difficult to assist you after the fact. Also leaving a negative comment on the event review or message board is not welcomed especially if you have not sought assistance to address your concern… these do not reflect the overall satisfaction of the collective group. New visitors to the group page are encouraged to participate if their first experience is that of a welcoming environment to watch the Patriots games. So for example if the Patriots should happen to lose the game, please do not leave a bad rating of the event experience. If you are new to the group and have trouble finding members (as there are other Patriots fans who happen to attend but have not registered on our site) of this fan club, do not hesitate to contact any of the staff at Boston’s for an introduction. Again, please feel free to contact me directly via email ([address removed]) or phone [masked]) with any comments, suggestions, or concerns.
I have received nothing by the highest of feedback from Boston’s management regarding our involvement with their business. They are very excited to host us each week during all of the sports seasons! They are very supportive of many of our external events too such as tailgate parties by donating additional foods beyond what we purchase. That is a relationship I plan to maintain and make even stronger. However we had several incidences this season where members did not pay their bill prior to leaving. With the exception of the Super Bowl, Boston’s does not require a pre credit card authorization for any of our diners in spite of the large number of attendees. This type of behavior will not be tolerated as it jeopardizes the reputation of the group as well our good relationship with Boston’s. Unfortunately anyone found abusing this obligation will be terminated from the group and no longer welcomed at the restaurant.
So as we move ahead with planning for next season… scheduling watch parties for both the Red Sox and Bruins… I look forward to working with both you the members and Boston’s to grow the group, grow the experience, and make this an even better fan club. Please remember too that this is your group and each of you is encouraged to seek out new potential members. If you see someone in the store wearing New England sports apparel, please ask him or her if they have heard of the group or stopped by Boston’s on game day… share your experiences with them. Tell them about the website… www.patriotsnationoftampa.com… or that we are an officially registered club with www.patriots.com. Please carry a few business cards with you… everyone has the ability to create their own on the group website… if you see a car with New England plates, maybe put one on the door window… if you attend a spring training or baseball game here, hand some out. We have all seen that there are a lot more New England fans in the Tampa-St. Pete are that we can reach out too… so please let’s do it! We have come a long way from our original group of five… and I think the sky is the limit! That is why two of the local news stations elected to cover our group at Boston’s for the Super Bowl as opposed to all of the alternative sports bars. That should make everyone in the group very proud of what you have helped to accomplish!
So see you all soon! Go Patriots!
