Hello Patriots Nation Of Tampa!
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the opening game yesterday! We had a fantastic turnout! Boston's had the same excitement & intensity we experienced during the Super Bowl game! I especially hope all of the new members enjoyed their first game with the group! I was quite pleased with the play of this early season Pats team... they looked good on both sides of the ball... our young rookies on defense... our new stud running back... & Brady spread the ball around well to all his weapons... & we know Bill will have them looking better each week... so I look forward to another great season ahead!
I will post the specials for the next game against St. Louis shortly. This will also be a one p.m. game & not televised locally... so expect another large group! So I strongly suggest you arrive early.
This brings me to an issue I have observed not just this past weekend but on occasion last season. I cannot express to you enough how grateful I am to the entire Boston's staff for the tremendous effort they put forth each week to ensure we have a great party during the game! And I hope that you all feel the same! For some of the older members who will recall the early challenge to find a restaurant that would totally commit to our group, I am sure you understand my feelings on this matter. And if a member of this group has an experience that does not reflect Boston's sincere appreciation of hosting us each week, their management acts quickly to ensure the situation is resolved and our members feel their concerns are addressed. The Boston's staff goes above & beyond during their preparations to make sure things run as smoothly as possible each week. So when I observe members of this group whose actions may prevent the staff from performing their duties to their best ability, I will address these in this forum. The overcrowding of tables & congregating in the isles will no longer be acceptable for members of this group. Each week I remind everyone to arrive early to secure a table if you would like to sit with specific friends. However we have some members who regularly show up to games with less than 30 minutes to kick off expecting to sit at already crowded tables. This results in tables filled with more than twice the seating capacity and our members blocking the main isles on both sides of the table. This prevents servers from moving freely to take care of their assigned tables as well the expediting of food to the floor. You must also understand that the servers are assigned specific tables of responsibility... often as many as seven which can be quite a few fans during a busy football game. So when a table is overcrowded with double its capacity, this is like adding another table to the server which is not fair not only to this individual but also to the other fans he/she is responsible for. So when you point out to me that service is not up to your expectations... which I gladly share with management when this feedback is given to me... I suggest you also observe the environment & ask if we have contributed in some way to this issue. This behavior reflects poorly on the members of this group and will not be acceptable. As is our group policy, we are one big Patriots family & I strongly encourage everyone to share open seats at their table with anyone who may need a space... whether it is one of our many regulars or someone attending for the first time. But if you arrive at Boston's late to watch the game & there are no seats available in the bar area, you will need to find a seat either on the patio or in the dining room where all of the TVs are also set to broadcast the game with sound. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please feel free to send me a message or phone call.
I will look into options for both the Miami & Jacksonville games for members who wish to attend as a group as many of you have expressed. I will get this information out to the group as soon as possible.
I hope everyone has a fantastic week & look forward to seeing you for next week's game!
