What is your experience with the NH 4000-footers: How many have you hiked, which have been your favorites, what were your biggest challenges?

I have completed all 48 (some multiple times). Most of my hiking is in the summer/fall, but I have done some winter hikes as well. I have hiked with friends, with the AMC (I am a member), and solo. My favorites so far have been the Twins and Moosilauke: good hikes, great views. My most challenging so far was Flume (the rock scramble), and a hot day on the Fraconia Loop (I now bring Gatorade with me).

What are your hiking goals?

I would like to explore other peaks in VT and ME. I have not backpacked, but I may be interested in it (I'd have to get some gear).

Do you hike all seasons?

I have hiked all seasons, but I do like to downhill ski.

What hikes would you like to see posted?

I would like to see a hiking trip up Owl's Head and Isolation, as well as the Bonds and the presidentials.

Are you interested in leading your own hikes or events?

I would need training to feel comfortable leading a hike. I think I could lead one I have already done that is not too remote.

Introduction

Hi, my name is Dan. I am interested in hiking, boating, skiing, snowshoeing, and other outdoor activities. I finished the 48 last year. I live in Central Massachusetts, but get up to NH as often as I can. Look forward to doing some hikes!
