What is your experience with the NH 4000-footers: How many have you hiked, which have been your favorites, what were your biggest challenges?

I have been hiking in the White Mountains year round since I was in high school. I have had one NH 4000-footer remaining (Mt. Moriah) since the mid 1970's. Just never got around to doing it. I tend to hike the Northern Presidentials, as I like lots of vertical gain. Howker Ridge on Mt Madsion is a favorite I do annually. I have also done the Great Gulf about a dozen times. (I have done the foot race up the Mt. Washington Auto Road 21 times since 1979.) I like long and fast hikes. I have done a one day Pemi loop twice in NH and have also done a one-day Rim to Rim to Rim in the Grand Canyon.

What are your hiking goals?

To do challenging hikes as late in life as I am able.

Do you hike all seasons?

Yes.

What hikes would you like to see posted?

Northern Presidential hikes.

Are you interested in leading your own hikes or events?

No.

Introduction

I have been hiking year round in the White Mountains since high school and have also hiked in Maine, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Wyoming.
