STP Training Series
This is a great way to train for the Seattle-to-Portland ride, a metric century, or full century ride. These rides will gradually increase in length and will be a little slower and flatter than our usual Saturday Pedal Club rides.
Pace: 14-16 mph
Hills: 2400 ft of elevation
Sweep: no; route sheets; regroup at the bottom of Indian Hill
From Folsom Bike, onto Auburn-Folsom, through Folsom Lake Estates, to Barton, through the Loomis Basin to Indian Hill, Shirland Tract, Horseshoe Bar and back to Folsom Bike for 40 miles

We will keep a moderate pace with 1-2 short regroup stops. Come prepared to stay with the group or follow the route sheet.
-Meet at 9:45a in Folsom Bike parking lot and roll out at 10:00a SHARP. Remember DAYLIGHT SAVINGS!!!!
-The ride will take approx 3+ hours
-Socializing afterwards at Folsom Grind

This ride is for you if:
- You have a road bike and in good working condition
- You are comfortable shifting and riding continuously with minimal or no stopping
- You can ride at 18 mph (intermediate) on flats for a minimum of 15 miles
- You want a REAL Hill challenge.
- You want to have fun & feel like a kid again, enjoying the freedom on a bike while getting in an amazing work out with like minded Pedal-ers.

Pedal Club makes every effort to ensure that our rides are safe,
however there is still an inherent risk of personal injury while cycling. Pedal
Club cyclists, our Sponsors, our organizers, other club members, or anyone
representing the Pedal Club assume no responsibility for your safety while
cycling with the Pedal Club. We provide an avenue for you to cycle with others
who share a common interest and you are responsible for your own safety while
attending a Pedal Club event. By participating in this event(s), you hereby
release and discharge promoters, event organizers, assistant organizers, hosts
and participants of the Pedal Club and sponsoring organizations from any and
all liability, claims, demands or causes of action that you currently
have, or may have in the future, for losses, injuries, damages of any kind or
nature, including death arising in whole or in part out of engaging in the
activities, advice or information posted on this meetup, whether caused by the
negligence of the organizers’ or otherwise. I acknowledge that this meetup
event(s) are a test of a person’s physical and mental limits and carry the
potential for death, serious injury, and property loss. The risks include, but
are not limited to, those caused by terrain, road conditions, weather,
equipment, vehicular traffic, lack of hydration, and actions of other people;
including but not limited to, participants, volunteers, spectators, instructors,
