Charleston Patriot Challenge

The mission of the Charleston Patriot Challenge is to fund, support and enable paddle sport programs for the physically disabled community in the South Carolina Lowcountry. Recognizing the extraordinary contribution made by the men and women of our armed forces, our mission includes a special focus on welcoming physically disabled Veterans into the paddle sport community.

Two courses:

​6 mile - Out to the Harbor and back to Brittlebank Park for more experienced paddlers

​3 mile - Up the Ashley River for 1.5 miles and back for recreational paddlers.

​Awards in all categories - kayaks, tandems, OC1, OC2, rowing gigs, stand-up paddleboards, dragon boats​Master Division for anyone 50 and overMale and Female categories

Cash Prizes for top finishers in the 6 mile course

​Great prizes including an Epic Kayak drawn by lottery - only paddling participants are eligible for kayak drawing.

​Other great prizes for raffle - Epic carbon paddles, beach totes, dinner at Charleston restaurants, Quoizel lamp, and a lot more.  ​Great fun along the Ashley River for a great cause.  ​​All proceeds go to help our wounded Veterans in the Lowcountry and disabled paddlers acquire the skills, lessons, and equipment they need to paddle.  All disabled Veterans and others with disabilities will paddle in the CPC for free and only pay a $5.00 insurance fee if they are not a member of ACA. ​Everyone with a military ID gets a $10 discount.  Students rate is $25.00​
