Are you a young adult who lives with a chronic illness or disability? You are not alone. As young adults, we are at a point in our lives where we are just beginning to define our identities. Dating, starting a family, pursuing education or a certain career path, and seeking out new and exciting experiences are all areas which consistently occupy our minds as young adults. Living life at this pivotal period in our lives can be difficult in it's own right--living with a chronic illness or disability can make this seem near impossible.

Upon receiving a diagnosis, Chris, my co-leader, and I searched for support within our demographic to no avail. A middle-aged or elderly individual living with illness/disability deals with considerably different issues than young adults. So, we decided to create a peer support group specifically for young adults.

What our mission is: -Connect with others who can relate to living with illness or disability -Provide advice and support for dating/relationships, college, jobs, and socializing. -Guest speakers from nurses, psychologists, physicians, and other relevant experts. -Volunteer activities/community service -Advocacy and raising awareness
