1) come to the jams (duh) - voice your enthusiasm
2) download the members' spreadsheet in Files
it has their influences and level
3) check out the recordings in files for interesting members
( cross reference with past jams attendance)
4) check the user profiles when new members join
5) host or suggest a jam on a theme you like
6) ask others about particular people
7) Craigslist (never worked well for me)
8) enhance your karma by paying your dues
9) Play with people worse than you: they may improve
10) practice your jamming skills (not just chops)at jams to make you look good to others
