“ Been practicing and teaching about the health benefits of real food / macrobiotics for over 25 years. Use to manage these dinners, have been a chef, and still help out when and where I can. Feel free to ask me questions at the dinners or visit my website for nutritional information and inspiration. www.patriciajoybecker.com ”

“ There is no better vegan gourmet food than at the PMC on Monday nights! I’ve been attending, and now volunteer, for the past 10 years. Very balanced and beautiful food choices. For the small cost of $15 you get soup, an entrée plate, tea, and dessert. With community seating, no tip is required. There is almost always seconds on soup, and whatever foods are left over after serving allow for seconds as well. Take outs are available. I could not survive without my weekly dose of great gourmet vegan foods! The dinners are welcoming and wonderful! ”

“ It is the best deal on this and most other planets. Where else can you get such wonderful quality organic edibles from soup to dessert for $15 - and oh, and the company of the community can't be beat. Each week the Chefs create a wonderfully different and magnificently tasty and balanced meal. What they do have in common is that they are always incredibly delicious & satisfying. No two meals are ever the same, even if they use similar ingredients. Too bad it's only one day a week! The soup alone is always worth coming to dinner for. ”

“ I think the dinners are fantastic, and I'm grateful they've persisted for 24 years! I'd like to see similar events occur throughout the Bay Area, and perhaps all of Califonria, if possible. Perhaps you could take a cue from the new kids on the block: Dr. Barry Schenker and his wife Dr. Diana Rebman, members of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) hold a monthly goumet vegan dinner in Berkeley, known as the Marketplace Dinner. ”
— Vasu M. on Nov 8, 2011.
“ This was the best dinner I've had. It felt like Thanksgiving. . .the people and the many food options. Thank you sooo much. The food was very fresh, hmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it! ”

“ Feedback: bread pudding was tasty, salad was delicious. cornbread too. Overall there were too many carbs (potatoes, bread in bread pudding, corn bread) and not enough protein. Also, it was a meal that was inaccessible to those avoiding wheat. Overall I would love to see meals that are more balanced with protein as well as veggies and not just starches. I like that you are charging more for special meals. Hopefully $22 will allow Macro dinners to be more sustainable. You might also consider charging last minute walk-ins a price a bit higher than those who reserved. That way you can subsidise making more food and not punish those who DO call and reserve but then get tiny meals because of last minute drop ins. This was not the case last night, but while I am giving my feedback, I am trying to cover it all. Love Macro meals, these are small improvements that would improve the experience.
