November 25, 2012
I have been running on and off since 2009. In 2012, I ran some longer races for the first time, completing 1 marathon and 3 ultra marathons.
My trail pace is pretty slow, maybe 9:00 to 9:30 feels comfortable. Flat mile pace is maybe 30 seconds faster per mile.
The longest race (distance wise) I ran was not a set distance, but rather a length based on running as far as you can in six hours (the Annapolis Striders Endless Summer Run). The longest run I have done time wise was the Ultra Roc 50K in Wintergreen, VA.
I get out of work at 4:30 but by the time I change and say goodbyes it is usually 4:45 by the time I leave the building. Thus anything before 5:30 pm can be tough for me to get to. I have to leave my apartment to get to work at 6:45 to ensure I get to work on time, which makes it hard to wake up early enough to run in the morning.
Noland Trail. Langley Air Force base track is my second favorite just because I live really close to it.
I live in Yorktown. I work at Fort Eustis. I have been running on and off since 2009.
