“Shocking, complex and thought-provoking, this is a story reading groups will devour. A knockout!" —Emily Giffin, New York Times bestselling author

At the heart of The Husband’s Secret is a letter that’s not meant to be read

My darling Cecilia, if you’re reading this, then I’ve died. . .

Imagine that your husband wrote you a letter, to be opened after his death. Imagine, too, that the letter contains his deepest, darkest secret—something with the potential to destroy not just the life you built together, but the lives of others as well. Imagine, then, that you stumble across that letter while your husband is still very much alive. . . .
Cecilia Fitzpatrick has achieved it all—she’s an incredibly successful businesswoman, a pillar of her small community, and a devoted wife and mother. Her life is as orderly and spotless as her home. But that letter is about to change everything, and not just for her: Rachel and Tess barely know Cecilia—or each other—but they too are about to feel the earth-shattering repercussions of her husband’s secret.

Acclaimed author Liane Moriarty has written a gripping, thought-provoking novel about how well it is really possible to know our spouses—and, ultimately, ourselves.

    Hi,
I have a question for all the teachers:

I am currently applying for Math teaching positions and noticed that many public schools need the NCLB clearance. I fulfill all of the requirements for the NCLB clearance as stated on the CTC (California Single Subject Teaching Credential, Master's degree in Maths,...) and was wondering how to obtain the certificate. Do you know something about that?
    Thanks!

Hi Julia, obtaining CA teaching credential and fulfilling all the requirements is a confusing process. I just sent an e-mail directly to you with the name of a credential specialist that helped me out tremendously when I first moved out here. She guided and helped walk me through the process. I spoke to her and she said that she would be happy to help answer your questions about NCLB clearance. Let me know if you did not get the e-mail I sent.

Ladies, I am terribly sorry, but my husband has had a work emergency come up and I can't get a sitter at this last minute. I am going to have to miss tonight's meeting. I'm so sorry, Gillian. I know you went to a lot of trouble to prepare everything for us.

I'm so sorry to have to cancel last minute. My day has gotten so hectic and I don't want to hold a spot from someone else in case I can't make it. Hopefully next month! (and now I have to eat all the corn jicama salsa myself!)

I'll bring a salad. Also not as exciting as an entire tray of cheesecakes :)

Looks like we'll have plenty of dips. I have a corn-jicama salsa and I'll bring some retried beans too. (Vegan) :) looking forward to meeting you all for my first meeting!

Hey did emails go out about potluck plans? Just wanting to make sure I don't bring something that someone else is bringing. See you next week!

    March 6, 2014

Yes I just got it! Thanks! Would having me make the slaw for the beef tacos be helpful? I also might be making a dessert because work has been crazy and I tend to stress cook.

The slaw would be great. Dessert too if you have time, but not the stress part. Hang in there!
