Interested in Buddhism but don’t know where to start? Already a seasoned practitioner and would like to find a Buddhist Sangha to join? Then please consider visiting us at our new center located in the Old Sacred Heart Hospital on 12th Ave in room. 221. The Pensacola Kadampa Buddhist Meditation and Study group is an established group of individuals who come together each week to discuss and contemplate the many teachings set forth by Buddha Shakyamuni. We are associated with the New Kadampa Tradition-International Kadampa Buddhist Union. The New Kadampa Tradition is a western Buddhist tradition with no political affiliations that follows the pure Mahayana Buddhist teachings of Atisha (AD 982 - 1054) and Je Tsongkhapa (AD 1357 - 1419), as presented for contemporary society by modern-day Buddhist master, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (b. 1931).
