Joan and the books will be available.

We have been having troubles with receiving the copies,
I will keep you updated on this. Joan will not come but the books
are going to be available for a pick up, hopefully....[

(For those who chose to read Tupaia, Captain Cook's Polynesian Navigator
there is a chance to meet the author and offer feedback on the book.
Details are here;

Hope to see you there.

    Hm... sorry guys a bit embarrassing, there still one copy of Joan's book that seems to be afloat (not counting Alisa's).
    Any chance of double checking if anyone has it please.

    Joan was an enthusiastic story teller, and really stimulated my interest in her book about Tupaio. She was also very interesting about the process of researching the material on a character who seems to have been mentioned only glancingly in the official records. Will look forward to further discussions when we have all read it.

    This was possibly one of our best meetings, Joan is an amazing story teller. I was listening almost holding my breath. Very interesting book, that I will very much enjoy reading. I very much hope we'll see Joan again. Had a great time.

    Not to worry Cathy, the books are still somewhere in limbo, hopefully be available on the 18th. If you cannot come I can keep a copy for you and pass it on when convenient.

    Yes I would like to read this, Alex. I'm not sure that I can make it to the discussion on 28th to collect the book though.
