In 2011 she celebrated the milestone achievement of 20 years in publishing. Di Morrissey's books have touched the hearts and emotions of readers around the world. She writes about personal relationships, the environment, Aboriginal reconciliation, identity and Australia's relationship with its South East Asian and Pacific neighbours.
Her latest book "The Winter Sea" is the story of Cassie - who, escaping an unhappy marriage and an unsatisfactory job, moves to the little NSW coastal town of Whitby Point. Here she meets the Aquino family, whose fishing business was founded by their ancestor, Giuseppe, an immigrant Italian, some ninety years earlier. There she falls in love with Giuseppe’s great-grandson Michael. But when the family patriarch dies a devastating family secret is revealed which threatens to destroy her dreams.
