Regular Discussion

Members of the Peoria Secular Humanist Society meet on average every other week to have a discussion on varying topics. Some discussions are very structured with specific information being presented by a member while others are less formal. Topics can change rapidly on some of the less formal discussions but members almost always enjoy themselves.

Discussions are open to anyone from active members of the group to newcomers wishing to learn more about who we are. Discussion topics will be posted to this meetup before the discussion but, as always, anybody will be welcome to bring a topic to the floor.

Join or login to comment.

I created a closed facebook group for us to post news stories, discussion topics, etc. The existing page that people "like" will still be a good method for us to create a public image of who we are but the closed group is a method for us to communicate among ourselves. Anybody wanting to share information with the group should post in this group rather than on our page.

The group can be found here:

I hope there isn't too much confusion between our facebook group and our facebook page. The page is open for anybody to "like" but it is difficult for people other than the page administrator to post anything. The facebook group requires approval to join (this will be given to all members) and will be more useful in sharing information.

I had a great time. Thanks, to all of you. In the interest of finding people on Facebook, here I am:
And we talked a bit about Christmas and past holidays that influence it, so I thought I'd dump a link to something I wrote on the subject.
