I’m new to the group and look forward to attending the meeting on Tuesday. Since it is a discussion meeting, here is a suggestion (borrowing from the Bradley Skeptics): It will be interesting to set a topic ahead of time for discussion. I believe this (PSHS) is an intellectually driven group. The topic could be anything pertinent to our society or personal growth—such as creationism vs evolution, gun control, going over a certain book, chapter by chapter, eg, The Evolution of God by Robert Wright, several books by Bart Ehrman who talks about the facllacies of Bible, The Believing Brain by Michael Shermer (talks about the biology of irrational belief system) or any other book chosen by a member. One need not buy these books, of course, but can borrow them from the public library.
Just for discussion on Tuesday if anyone is interested.
See you guys soon.
