Go for an easy beginner ride

You’re invited to join our Saturday morning, beginners group ride starting from and ending at our Vienna, Performance Bicycle store. The ride is for beginners and those getting back on the saddle. The average pace will be between 10 and 14 miles per hour and the ride will last approximately one hour. We’ll explore some of the local bike paths available to you and experience some residential riding as well. The ride leaves the store every Saturday morning, 9:00 am and is a “No Rider Left Behind” ride. Come out and join our ride leaders, for some fun outdoors.

Bring a helmet, waterbottle, spare tube, positive attitude :)

Are riders who do not wear helmets allowed to participate in the group?

Chris - Thank you for your prompt response. I prefer to ride without a bike helmet both in order to feel the wind in my hair and because I think bike helmets look silly and provide only minimum levels of protection particularly from impact to the face. Therefore, I won't be participating in the group's activities until I can secure one of the newer style motorcycle helmets that are minimally intrusive and look like collars around the back of the neck but expand into full helmets much like airbags in the event of a crash.
