Organic Farm Tour in Warren Township with Farmer Mark

  • Sep 20, 2009 · 3:00 PM
  • Farmer John Organic Produce

See the farm, learn about the history of the property, how it's been farmed organically for generations, and what needs to be done to restore it. We will use permaculture principles, methods and ethics to make it come alive.
We need your help! Please join us for the tour and hear Farmer Mark tell us about how his grandfather, father, and he lived on the farm and created this diverse landscape. It's in Warren Township, on 31 King George Road (between Rt 22 and Rt 78).
It's for sale and we want to get a group together to buy it to use it as a permaculture demonstration site and education center.

I enjoyed touring the farm and would love to see it become a working farm again.

This would be a great site for a learning center, CSA, permaculture demonstration project. Having Mark lend his considerable expertise to the project is something hard to put a price on. Looking forward to seeing if this dream is possible...

THANK YOU Farmer Mark for your inspiring stories and THANK YOU all for joining us on the farm!
A magical oasis, with more tree diversity than I've seen anywhere in NJ: Black walnut, Chinese chestnut, Paw Paw, Hearty Kiwi, Pear, Apple, Sugar Maple, Shag Bark Hickory, Bamboo, Grape vines, Pines, and on and on. WOW!

The farm has great potential for only 7.5 acres. It would make a fantastic permiculture education center or a working organic farm.
