What a fun time! A great bunch of people to connect with and exchange plants and seeds with too. I had a kick out of meeting 2 other "Leahs" there!
FYI, I'd love to learn details about possibly hosting this workshop at my parents home in San Marco. My Dad wants to have one now!

Leah, it was great having you both out. If anyone wants to have a workshop that's outside of our schedule, please just set it up on the calendar. I'll do everything that I can to make that happen. What I'd like is to have people who come out to these workshops learn how to do this stuff and volunteer to run the class. My time is very precious these days. Our next homestead series will be at Michelle and Dabbs' place. I hope you can make it.

I made Anna's dip recipe as a pesto for dinner tonight our of some spicy lettuce we grew. Thank you as we could not tolerate eating it. It was nice to see the community get together for this.

Did not know that we could fit 500 people into one backyard. ;^)
Seriously, had a good time and learn a lot from everyone. Thanx goes to Alex for teaching us and giving us hands on (and feet on) training in the 'how to' of building a cob oven. And a special thanx to the Rawson's for hosting this event in their backyard and providing us all a wonderful lunch.

It is very rumbley where I am. Do you think this will still happen?

    June 29, 2013

    • Alexander Ojeda, Jr.

We will put up an awning/tarp thing and make the cob. As long as the rain is just misting, we'll still make cob!
