Salam Persian maman’s of San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas. I am a new mom who was born in Iran and would like to meet and socialize with other Persian moms, but most importantly I would like for my little girl to meet other Persian children whom she can form long lasting, loving friendships with just like we use to back in Iran.

If you became a mom in 2009/2010 then this would be the right age group for your child. It is not necessary for both parents to be from Iran for your child to be a part of this group. The intention of this group will be to do our best to communicate with our children in Farsi and show them our traditions and share with them our culture starting from a very early age.

We will meet at local parks for Farsi story time or at each other’s homes for play dates. We will do our very best to acknowledge all of the traditional Persian events, such as Charshanbeh soori, Eid Norooz, Sizdah Bedar, Shab Yalda, Easter, Christmas etc…

We would love to keep this group simple and peaceful so if you have really strong religious and political views and do not know how to play well with others then this is not the group for you and you will be dropped from the group.

Please remember this is all about the children, we want them to have fun together and be around other children whose parents have strong moral values and believe in tradition.

So, leave your Gucci, Pucci and Choo’s at home, put on your yoga pants and come have some fun with your baby and meet other great mom’s just like you. Please no persian divas need apply, nobody needs the mama drama!

There will be a $5.00 non refundable Membership fee due once a year, this will help pay for the meetup website dues.  I promise it will be the best 5 bucks you have ever spent.  If you are uncomfortable paying through paypal, you may pay your dues by cash or check at your first meetup.
