Santa Ana Artwalk

OK here's the plan. I called the owner of Mil Jugos (http://www.yelp.com/biz/mil-jugos-santa-ana) and she said they will be able to accommodate us. Mil Jugos usually closes at 5pm, but she said that if we come in at 5pm, they will extend the hours and serve us. I assume that about 15-20 of us will be able to join for dinner. So we can all meet at the restaurant at 5pm (please don't be too late, since I told her a bunch of us will be there at 5pm). We can eat and get to know each other, then head to the art walk. The address of Mil Jugos is 320 W 5th St. Santa Ana, CA 92701

Right now since no one replied, I assume that most of us are able to meet for dinner at 5pm. If you can't make it, please reply below. Thanks!!

I adore artwalks and thought some of you might like to join me!

Orange County's hippest new neighborhood invites you to stroll down the four blocks of the 2nd Street Promenade from Broadway Avenue to Spurgeon Street on the First Saturday of EVERY month from 7:00pm - 10:00pm. Admission is FREE.

The monthly event will give you access to buy original art work from some of Southern California’s freshest, edgiest and most talented artists. It also will have open viewings of working lofts owned by artists and designers all in an award winning urban setting.

The recently completed Lofts are part of the larger Santa Ana Artists Village. The village includes major art venues such as the California State University Fullerton Grand Central Art Center, the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, Santora Arts Building, Empire Arts Building, as well as a mix of smaller, up-and-coming galleries and design studios. Alternately funky and polished, impressionistic and representational, the galleries show some of the county’s hottest work.

I seem to be getting all the red lights so I'll be about 15 minutes late.

I've gone to this when it was raining before. It actually adds to the ambience of the scene and had a blast.

Weather reports are forecasting rain on Saturday. Will this meetup take place rain or shine?

    December 5, 2013

I'd still be down to get together for dinner if it rains...especially since we already have reservations, right Wendy?

Rain is the enemy of art. Next time.

    Hey all,
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, I will post dinner and meeting information next Monday, I promise. Since Gypsie Den doesn't take reservations (thanks to Dan's insight), I'm thinking we can go to Au NatuRaw (http://www.yelp.com/biz/au-naturaw-santa-ana) -- it's quite delicious!. But I'm also unsure as to whether they take reservations for big groups since they're not picking up their phone right now due to the holiday. But that all depends on how big the group is. If anyone else have any other suggestions you can text me at [masked]! But the tentative plan is that we will meet for dinner at 6pm then go to the artwalk afterwards. Please reply to this message if you are going to make it to dinner!! I've attached a map where you can find where to park: http://santaanaartwalk.com/ArtistVillage_map.pdf Happy Thanksgiving, everyone :)
