Group discussion workshop

Come an hour early to the Coffee and Conversation event and we'll brainstorm on how we can run better small group conversations! The folks who attend this hour will become the small group leaders at the Coffee and Conversation event.

We will have an open conversation about how we can best run small group discussions to make folks feel comfortable, and to keep the conversation balanced and moving in the right direction.

Come to this event if:

- You want to practice leading groups of people
- You have ideas on how we can improve Coffee and Conversation
- You want to take a more active role in this Meetup group!

(This is not a presentation, it is just going to be set up as a group conversation).

This group discussion pre-event was the first time we did this. We'd love your anonymous feedback with these 3 quick questions:

I cannot make it but I have a suggestion: Making a conversation meetup on a weekday. I work all weekend. Every weekend.

Hi Gabriella, I work during the weekdays so it is harder for me to host events on the weekdays. If you can take the lead and create a coffee shop meetup on a weekday that would be fantastic; this meetup group is set up so that anyone can step up and host an event!

Okay, so the plan is we are going to meet at the Corner Bakery around 9am or so and stake out some spots at the outdoor seating. I called the manager and they said that they can't reserve seating for us, but we are welcome to use the outdoor seating and it is usually pretty open on Saturday mornings. So our group will be there to hold the tables until everyone else arrives. See you all on Saturday at 9 am!
