Sunday Music - Perth Rock n' Soul merchants Boom! Bap! Pow!

This is a free Concert in the beautiful front beer Garden at the historical Freo Arts Centre.

Wood fired Pizza, Bar, Cafe and Art gallery - its all there!

A very comprehensive Blurb for you -

Perth Rock n' Soul merchants Boom! Bap! Pow! are a band that know how to work their crowd the old fashioned way.  Like a WA version of Bob Dylan's Never Ending Tour, they've spent the last few years clocking up kilometres and appearing on just about every stage the West has to offer.

Boom! Bap! Pow! have finally documented the crazy, ecstatic energy that only results from a true fusion of band and audience. It's a sweet and sweaty sound. Right from the first line, we're in deep. "I got a weakness" asserts lead singer and Perth icon Novac Bull, laying it all on the line in true redemptive rock ‘n’ roll fashion. So Heavy is an adventure not just in relentless enthusiasm, but also in painstaking song-craft. Tracks such as My World and recent single Keeping You Happy showcase a band in complete control of it's facilities. Hooks collide and climaxes pack a wallop with Bull regularly whipping herself into a sort of controlled frenzy.

Stylistically, Boom! Bap! Pow! pay homage to their rock and soul influences without overstepping bounds. No surprise then, that Bonds and American company Value City Furniture recently commissioned first single Suit for their recent and respective campaigns. The song also took home the gong in the pop category of the 2013 WAM Song of The Year awards, an illustrious and deserved honor. We're Dancing with the Son of a Proud Mary here and it's in this amalgamation of celebratory sounds that Bull and her tight-as-a-drum cohorts prove their reputation as a powerhouse

There are families there too and I have seen concealed bottles of wine in cooler bags with plastic cups!
There are chairs, or bring picnic and blankets- nice to place our stuff down somewhere and wander around.
If you park across the road near the fig tree- you will need coins for the machine.
Beware the figs, made a terrible juicy mess on my beautiful car last time.
