According to the American Veterinary Hospital Association, 1 out of 4 more pets would survive an emergency if just one pet first aid technique were applied prior to receiving emergent veterinary care. PetStructor teaches Pet Tech's pet CPR & first aid program, the premier pet CPR & first aid training on the planet. The 5-hour course uses both lecture and demonstration to enhance the learning and hands-on practical experience. Students will have the opportunity to perform 3 types of physical assessment, 3 types of chest compressions, rescue breathing, vital signs, conscious and unconscious foreign body airway obstruction (choking), bleeding management, heat & cold injuries, restraint and muzzling, and more. Additionally, the CPR component is greatly enhanced with the use of a K9 resuscitation manikin with breathing, compression and femoral pulse palpation capabilities.
