North Hills Book Club - Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty

  • Mar 20, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Our book choice for March is Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty. (Thanks to Amber for this months book choices!)  You may remember that we've read this author once previously in "What Alice Forgot".

For something new, we'll check out Pizza Hut on McKnight Road.   They offer a buffet from 7pm-9pm on Wednesday evenings, in addition to their pizza and wing menu options.

Pizza Hut

7520 McKnight Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15237

(Just FYI, won't be able to reserve a table, so we may have a short wait on arrival for a table--thanks!)

If you find you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP no later than 3:00 pm on WEDNESDAY if possible...I'll need to give the restaurant a final count of the group at that time. Thanks!

**Also, please note that this Meetup will be weather permitting.  Please be sure to check your email or the Book Club page before heading out if we are experiencing winter weather that day!**

Here is a bit about the book:

Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty

Lyn, Cat, and Gemma Kettle, beautiful thirty-three-year-old triplets, seem to attract attention everywhere they go. Whenever they're together, laughter, drama, and mayhem seem to follow. But apart, each is very much her own woman, dealing with her own share ofups and downs. Lyn has organized her life into one big checklist, juggling the many balls of work, marriage, and motherhood with expert precision, but is she as together as her datebook would have her seem? Cat has just learned a startling secret about her marriage -- can she bring another life into her very precarious world? And can free-spirited Gemma, who bolts every time a relationship hits the six-month mark, ever hope to find lasting love? In this wise, witty, hilarious new novel, we follow the Kettle sisters through their thirty-third-year, as they struggle to survive their divorced parents' dating each other, their technologically savvy grandmother, a cheating husband, champagne hangovers, and the fabulous, frustrating life of forever being part of a threesome. A family comedy about sibling rivalry, Three Wishes is an assured and warmhearted debut.

Hope to see you there!

I have never been to Emiliano's at McIntyre; however, I did recently read that they were opening one in Cranberry. I live near Cranberry so if anyone wants to meet and try out the new location when it opens let me know!

In the meantime I will see you next week at Pizza Hut.

Hope you all have a good St. Patrick's Day weekend!

Thought I'd pass this on if you haven't most favorite place to have book club is closing at the end of the month! (Can you hear me sobbing?!) Yes, Emiliano's at McIntyre will be no more. They are trying to eventually find a new location on McKnight, and will be opening a new location in a few weeks in Cranberry. Wanted to let any of you that may have also loved their food know, so maybe you can make a last stop before they are gone!
