Hello everyone!   We picked this book because we are tired of Winter and wanted a great summer beach read and this might just be it!  I love the baseball angle -- If you are tired of Winter, please join us in reading this book.  Here is a brief description:

Summer of 1938: A scandalous love triangle and a famous hurricane converge in a New England beach community. Add in a betrayal between friends, a marriage for money, and a Yankee pitcher, and it’s a perfect storm.  There really was a hurricane in New England in 1938 and this book tells what it was like not to have our up-to-date hurricane warnings.  There are several soap opera "hurricanes" in this book too.

I really liked it too - I think it's even better than the book jacket makes it sound!

I know the rsvp's are closed. I was wondering when exactly you close the rsvp's or if you keep meeting to a min. I started reading book & haven't read it since last Sunday due to being hospitalized all last week. I can't wait to get back into it. Thanks for the recommendation

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
