I don't really have one. In grad school, I admired many - Toni Morrison, Flannery O'Conner, Alice Walker, Sherwood Anderson. LOVE great character development - sucker for stories with a "lesson" or a transformation of some kind. Need to find one :-).
Hard to say - loved a bio of Edie Sedgewick that I reread - While nursing babies a night for past few years - totally loved the In Her Shoes, Good In Bed "series" (same writer, that is). Read Happens Everyday by Isabelle (sp?) Gillies - great voice!
At night or early, early morning. Have no other time and often have to forgo the morning workout to read. Sometimes, I have to admit - I read mag articles from Real Simple - a recipe from Bon Appetit - something mindless. Need some chick lit help!
Became a member of several Mom's Groups on Meetup (Hip Mama, Punk Rock Parenting, etc.) through friends but find some of the meetups not easy for one w/ more than 1 child plus I like good conversation, discussions, books, etc. sans kids sometimes:-).

Love to read but don't read or get out as much as I used to (4 kids - one a baby). Also was English major - wrote short stories in college - worked at mags and ad agencies as writer for yrs - currently blog as "trendy mom" - dig fashion, chick lit!
Books are fun - conversation is lively - all the women are very cool - very diverse, interesting, open, welcoming...
