Help us help the GPLC this Saturday at the tea

Hello Everyone,

As you know, our group loves books. We love reading. We love discussing. Imagine what it would be like to not be able to read. A world without Harry Potter, Bridget Jones, Emma, and so many other beloved characters is unimaginable to me. And yet that's what thousands of people face each day. Some are barely able to read menus. As a book club, we need to give back.

This Saturday, several members of our book club have organized a charity tea to benefit the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council. This will be the fourth one we have held. We have a guest speaker, a local author from Ohio, and two people from the GPLC coming to speak. We will also have a Chinese Auction and a 50/50 raffle. More details can be found on the meetup site at

So far, we are not sold out. We are asking for your help with this. We have over 400 members in our book club, many of whom we don't see that often. Let us see you. Please join us on Saturday. Help the members of the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council to give the gift of reading to someone else. Contact Kristy at [address removed] or Lindsey at [address removed] to sign up. You can pay in cash on Saturday at the door. Bring a friend. Bring your cousin. Bring your love for reading.

In addition, if you are unable to attend, but would still like to donate, please contact Kristy or Lindsey. Share the gift of reading, no matter how small the donation, every little bit helps.

Thank you, and as always, contact me anytime.
