Let's see what we can build together and share some hardware love.

There are a ton of software meetups in the 'Burgh, but for a city with such a rich history in manufacturing and robotics, where's all the hardware love? We're all about connecting Pittsburgh's community of makers, inventors, designers, artists, investors and anyone who's interested in building a business in the world of physical products - from company boards to organic soap. Come join us and let's create an amazing addition to the tech scene in the Steel City!

If you are interested in hardware: we have a monthly mailinglist for enterpreneurs that features product designers. http://bit.ly/M9qEDK

Very inspiring; nice to see some hard goods and their business models in an increasingly software and intangible goods oriented culture. Much thanks to the organizers for putting this world of hard goods in the spotlight, and hosting it in a space like TechShop.

Couldn't agree with all more on we also need hardware start-up and early stage companies in the region. AS former chair of screening at Blue Tree Allied Angels for the past 2 years we saw a lot of software and live science but wish we also saw more hardware related especially with all the recent advances in rapid manufacturing. Looking forward to it.

I'm really excited about this. Is there a agenda of some kind in this meeting such as presentations, demo tables, etc?

We will start with a meet-and-greet and move into some demos with a break out session after to have some show & tell in smaller groups. We are still putting together some great demos and presentations from local companies and startups, but we are also interested in seeing what pet projects people are working on within the group. Please feel free to bring your project and show it off.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
