Celebrate in the streets of Northern Liberties during the fourth annual 2nd Street Festival.
Every August, thousands pack a seven-block stretch of North 2nd Street between Germantown Avenue and Spring Garden for a day of music, food, beer gardens, art, workshops and vendors of all kinds.
The massive block party features four stages of live music hand-selected by the Philadelphia Folksong Society, who also plan the long-running Philadelphia Folk Festival.
Last year’s performers include: Man Man, The Great Unknown, The Spinning Leaves, Blayer Poindujour & The Rockers Galorre, Auctioneer and many more.
Grab a bite to eat from one of the many food trucks expected at the Festival and refresh with a drink at a variety of beer gardens set up along the street. Local restaurants like Standard Tap, North Bowl and El Camino Real will also open their doors for the day-long celebration.
The super-sized block party also features family friendly activities including arts and crafts, carnival games and kid-friendly musicians.
RSVP AND NO SHOW POLICY
We ask that you change your RSVP to “No” as soon as possible (at least 24 hours before the event) to make space for other members who would like to attend. If you fail to change your RSVP, and do not attend the event, you will be marked as a “no-show".
When you attend an event, please either “check in” on the website (or with the Meetup app), or submit an event review afterward so that the Leadership team knows you participated. If you do not provide us with a check-in status or follow-up of the event, you will be marked as a “no-show”.
Because “no-shows” make planning events difficult and can be unfair to other group members, you will be removed from the group if you are a "no show" to two events in a calendar year.
