VENUE - The Coffee Club in Media, PA

RAVES - Here's what people are saying about the Second Sunday Quotes Meetups:
"very enlightening. What a great pick-me-up"
"wonderful job! .... focused on Abe materials, which is what I go there for"
"great quotes and great discussions"

DISCUSSION STARTING AT 12:30 - The meetup will follow our "classic" format of discussion focused on Abraham quotes on slips of paper. We talk about how a quote applies to our own experience in living the Law of Attraction. Everyone is welcome to jump in with related anecdotes of how they've seen that in their own lives. When we're done talking about that quote, we move on to the next one. The idea is to share what we're living and discuss the Law of Attraction life.

FACILITATORS - Pat Petersman and Jerry Heisler

TIMING - Meetups last 90 minutes.

WHAT TO EXPECT in a Discussion Using Abraham QuotesPICK A QUOTE - Fan out the quotes like cards (face down). Each person picks one.
SHARE HOW YOU'RE LIVING IT - Find a way that the quote you selected is meaningful in your everyday life. We want to stimulate discussion on how people are using Law of Attraction in their lives. (We do not discuss the teachings in a theoretical way. We're talking about how we're living this; about walking our talk.)
WHO ELSE HAS A QUOTE - When the discussion veers off into other disciplines or some long winded story, that's the time (at a suitable pause) to ask who else has a quote to read. (Anyone can do this, not just the facilitator.)
HOW DOES IT FEEL - The point is to talk about the Abe teachings and how they relate to our lives. Sometimes someone's telling a story or vignette that enlightens and sometimes...not. The way to cut to the chase is, you came for your Abe hit -- ask yourself if you're getting it, if this is ringing your bells. If not, find a way to kindly and courteously bring the group back with the next quote.
ALL ABE, ALL THE TIME - All of us are probably into related teachings and practices, and it's natural that we bring some of that into our discussions. And since it can get hard to know where to draw the line, I just draw the line at Abraham. If it isn't "straight Abe" then bring the discussion back to Abraham. The quotes work beautifully for that, and that's why we use them.
STAY AND CHAT AFTERWARDS - We naturally get to know bits of each other's lives as we discuss how this quote or that one pertains to us. Aside from that, we do not use meetup time for getting to know each other personally. Often a few people will linger to talk to each other afterwards and sometimes a group will go out to eat together. But our aim is to use the meetup time for "Abe work" and not for socializing.

NOTE: This is the THIRD Sunday in October.

RAVES - Here's what folks are saying about our meetups:
"right on target"
"I enjoy it so much"
"terrific boost in vibration"
"ideas and answers were flowing and the time flew"

TWO FORMATS - We'll have a "processes" table and a regular meetup table.

PROCESSES - At the "processes" table, each individual will use an Abraham process on a situation or event in his/her life. Plan to to get there early so you have time to eat before the meetup because we'll need tabletop for writing and for opening the books up.

MEETUP "CLASSIC" - There will also be a "meetup classic" table with our usual format of discussion focused on Abraham quotes on slips of paper. We talk about how a quote applies to our own experience in living the Law of Attraction. Everyone is welcome to jump in with related anecdotes of how they've seen that in their own lives. When we're done talking about that quote, we move on to the next one. We share what we're living and discuss the Law of Attraction life.

FEE - There is a $5 fee payable to the organizer. You'll find a small striped pouch on the processes table; tuck your fiver in there, or else hand it to me (Teresa) directly.

PATRONIZE THE VENUE - One reason my fee is so low is so you'll be able to easily buy a bite to eat at The Coffee Club and still keep your overall cost for the event easily affordable. This is an extremely reasonably priced place and their food is all prepared to order. You'll probably end up shelling out just over ten bucks, including the meetup fee to me.

If you arrive late, try to sit in a way that you can see the counter, then slip up there when it's not busy to buy a cup of coffee or give them your order. They'll bring it to you when it's ready.

TIMING - It's best to get there early and place your food order before the meetup starts.

I'm normally there by 11:45AM and I'm rarely alone. Which is to say, there are people to talk to when you get there early, and it's nice to have a relaxed time to eat before we clear the table for writing processes.

We start ON TIME. If you arrive late (hey, it happens) it's easier to join the quotes discussion than it is to jump in at the processes table.

Meetups last 90 minutes. Please allow two hours to leave time for socializing afterwards, especially if you are in the quotes discussion. I like to get to know everyone a bit, and the social time afterwards is my only opportunity to chat with the folks who were at the quotes table.

PREFERRED SEATING FOR PROCESSES - If you're new and are interested in the Processes, here's a tip from the regulars: Get there by 12:15 to claim a comfortable seat at the table! (We now have clipboards available for those who can't pull a chair in close enough to use the tabletop.)

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - From the city, take the train to 69th Street, then the trolley to the Coffee Club. To find the schedule, go to the following link on the SEPTA site, put in your location, destination (214 West State Street Media, PA 19063), the meetup date and change the "plan by" box to show the arrival time. It'll show you the train times and, if you arrive at 11:30AM, the trolley schedule ("light rail") for that arrival time as well as for a couple of other arrival times. The trolley runs right down State Street. If your arrival doesn't coincide with the trolley schedule, the train station is a short walk away (six blocks).

Okay, you don't have to be on camera. My web designer is on me to give him images for my site but I want real candid shots, not stock photos and not posed-in-a-studio shots.

I hope you'll be up for it. If you don't want your photo used, we can crop you out. I'll have forms where you'll give or deny permission to use your image (as well as give or deny permission to use your name in the caption, which I don't plan to do but sometimes plans change so I'll be asking now just to be clear).

If you give permission, I'll show you the photo we want to use before the site goes live and make sure you're comfortable with it. I wouldn't want someone to use a shot of me that I felt was unflattering, and I won't do that to you.

It will be a success if I only end up with shots of me, so please feel completely comfortable to attend and check "no" on the form! Sure, I hope a bunch of folks will feel fine about it and that I'll get some group shots. But our group is all about alignment and feeling good. Do what feels good. (Remember, if you check yes you'll still have veto power and can always say "no" later even if it's the most flattering shot of you ever. )

This is just candid shots with a simple digital camera. I'll recruit someone on the spot (maybe a counterperson) and hand over my camera. If we don't get enough shots, or if they aren't usable, we may do this another time (with more notice).
