It was a pleasure meeting everyone at yesterday's meetup. I'm so glad I decided to go. I received a ton of helpful advice and some much-needed confidence boosting. Should I still be on the unemployment payroll next Monday, I will be there. Thank you all for making my husband and me feel welcome.

    Good morning,

I look forward to meeting those of you who are attending the meeting next Monday, June 24. This is my first meetup ever....with any group. I hope to receive good advice on how to proceed with my job search. Not the typical things I've heard many times. I've done what seems like everything and I need a fresh perspective.

I'm hoping I can be of help as well. See you all next week!

Thanks, Steve. I've had my resume critiqued numerous times, so I think I'll keep it the way it is. My husband, Dave, is looking forward to it as well to get some pointers...he's thinking of making a career change. He was an ATM technician for 13 yrs, then fixed computers and then bench tech and finally help desk. He's back to being an ATM technician (due to a few lay-offs) but desires to be back in IT where his friend has an almost certain position for him at the comp he works at.
He was happy to hear some IT group members will be in attendance tomorrow.

See you all in Wegman's at 9am tomorrow. How will I know the group? Will there be a sign???

Chrissy, when you walk into the Wegmans, you want to walk towards the Pub area. There is the main seating area and then a seating area on the left side. We move several tables together to accomodate at least 12 people. You can't miss it. We don't have a sign, but if you approach and say "Meetup?", you will find us.

Sorry, I should have placed the fax number in the body of the email instead of the subject.

I just received a great email from Gary Altoonian about a piece of information that someone shared at last Monday's Meetup:

Steve: I don’t recall who shared this information with the group at Wegmans, but it was a great suggestion. I just sent a fax to PAUC regarding the upcoming exhaustion of my benefits and in less than 20 minutes, I received a call back and got an answer. She informed me that once the state benefits are exhausted, I can apply for the federal emergency benefits by sending another fax the day after my state benefits are exhausted requesting a call and they will take the new application over the phone. She also informed me that if I take care of the emergency benefits application quickly, my benefits will not be interrupted. Since you are the keeper of the email list, can you pass this information on to the rest of the group? Thank you. Best regards,
    Gary Altoonian
