Double Exposure
An opera from the lab initiative
An opera from the lab initiative

Two composers + Two directors =
Four visions of opera in the making

You're invited!

Enjoy a unique view into the creative process when we present scenes from new operas being written by Opera Philadelphia’s Composers in Residence, Lembit Beecher and Missy Mazzoli. In a twist, the four scenes will each be staged twice, by two different teams of singers and musicians led by stage directors Daniel Fish and Stephanie Havey. You'll have the opportunity to meet the composers and share your thoughts at a post-performance reception.
