June JavaScript Meetup - Project Night & Lightning Talks

Come work on your projects with lots of other cool JavaScript developers! We'll kick off the night with lightning talks to get us warmed up before open project time. Lightning talks are SHORT (~5minute) talks about a project you've done, a problem you solved, a quick demo, etc. During open project hours, we'll have a "Beginner's Corner" and more experienced developers can volunteer to help level up those new to our community.

If you'd like to do a lightning talk, the topics should obviously surround JavaScript, but are flexible. For example, you could talk about something new you heard about and want to learn more, you could talk about a seemingly insurmountable problem you need to figure out, or you could talk about some cool thing you did and just want to share. If you'd like to talk, comment on the meetup to sign up, send us a message, or mention @phillyjsdev on Twitter (which reminds us: follow @phillyjsdev!)

Doors open at 6pm, Lightning talks start at 6:30.

The Fieldhouse has tasty food and beverage available for purchase. If you or your company would like to sponsor a round of drinks or some appetizers, message one of the organizers (James or Pam)!

Sorry I missed the chance to connect with everyone. I got caught in the storm bad :( If anyone is looking for some hard-core PHP work with an eventual plan to migrate to JS, plz email me [masked]. We are doing some cool stuff and need help to scale!

Hi friends. I'm not really feeling the rainy bike ride with side of tornado watch. I might learn JavaScript on my own.

We're going to be upstairs in the "Loft" which will work better for us, so yay! Specials for us are $4 draft beer and $5 house wine. They have a good sized menu too and there should be plenty of space for us.

    Hi,
I'd be happy to give a lightening talk. I'm learning to write quality object oriented JavaScript for the first time and for a tutorial I've been making a simple agent based simulation.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
