I saw this and thought of the quadrotor stuff mentioned in the minutes from the last meeting - thought some of you might be interested.

The first 'kinect hack' shows a quadrotor with a kinect mounted on it to do 3D mapping for obstacle avoidance.­

I did see this on the Meetup site, even though I didn't get an email. I just wasn't able to comment in time. I think Tom might be able to incorporate a Kinect on his quad. Mine, I think, is too underpowered (both computationally and lift-wise).

I had seen this before. If you like flying robots - including quads - you should peruse

Neat stuff. I've now gone to my communication settings for this meetup group and put a check under "Email me when this Meetup Group's message board is updated" I'll see if that helps with the communication.
