Where is everyone getting parts/does anyone want to order a micro controller?

I want to start a new quad-rotor robot project, so should be ordering the first round of parts soon. I'm going to get a programmable micro-controller (ideally via USB) and a few motors. Where is everyone else getting parts, and would anyone else want to get in on an order?

Hi Jeremy.

For R/C parts (motors, ESCs radios), HobbyKing is a good, cheap source (but you may have to wait for stock and shipping): http://www.hobbyking....

You can get most of what you need from here https://www.aeroquads..., especially if you want an Arduino solution (be sure to check out the forums, too)

There's also http://www.sparkfun.c... for electronics, including sensor chips and micros

There are many open source and commercial (closed) quadrotors out there. See here for lots of discussions: http://www.rcgroups.c...

What kind of quad are you interested in? Completely scratch built or will you follow some existing plans/kits? Did you have any particular processor in mind?

I can update my quad presentation for next week's meetup if you like. The old one is on the files page http://files.meetup.c....
