Philadelphia Robotics Group Message Board › Drexel's Dr Paul Oh public lecture this Thursday 10/31 @ 3:30PM
I've linked to Prof. Oh's CMU Robotics Institute lecture in previous meetup summaries. It turns out he's giving a talk on "Robotics: Passing the Tipping Point" this Thursday, October 31 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium. His email reply to me indicates that it will be in the Bossone Auditorium (on Market between 31 and 32 streets) - perhaps that's the same place? He says the auditorium should be large enough to accommodate non-Drexel folks.
His talk will likely focus on the DARPA Robotics Challenge: http://www.darparobot... – and the Drexel team: http://www.drc-hubo.c... You can hear/see his talk recently given for the public: https://www.youtube.c...
I'm thinking about asking Dr Oh if the Robotics Meetup can get a tour of the Drexel lab. Let me know if you would be interested in such a tour. If you are a Drexel student and/or know Dr Oh, I would appreciate if you would email me directly so we could discuss this.
