There are too many stressors which weigh on doing this hike: compacted ice on the trail and a real threat of more winter weather which may cause hazardous driving conditons. I'm officially canceling.

Thanks Dave. Seems like a good call! Now I have no reason to delay painting the house - or I might think of something.

A "maybe" as I type, on Friday night, depending on the weather........?

If the hike is still scheduled, I will join you.

Well, I admire the spirit of this group. You haven't bailed out even after the snowstorm and the prediction of another small winter event on Saturday. The prediction of more snow falling during the time folks would be driving to the hike worries me. I'll post an update late tomorrow night.

I believe I'm going to be sipping hot chocolate by my fireplace this Saturday, due to the cold fronts we're having. Perhaps next time.
