WebPagetest and UX Performance Audits

Join us Tuesday March 25th from 6:30-8:30pm with guest presenter Pete Schuster (@pete_schuster)!

WebPagetest provides general insights into ways to improve your site from a performance standpoint. By creating a baseline from WebPagetest, you can compare and contrast optimizations you make to your site and make sure you are getting the performance boosts you are looking for. In addition to page performance, there are several key areas you can look for in your code to make sure your users are having an optimized experience. I'll walk you through how to use WebPagetest to audit potential and existing client sites, to drum up new work and make sure their sites are performing their best on all fronts.

Please note the new location at United By Blue, 144 North 2nd Street, Old City.  Food and drinks will be provided.

I cam across this great article for anyone looking for further information. It compliments Pete's talk, and goes a little further in detail on reading and understanding your waterfall charts.

Great topic. I'll be a more valuable asset at my company with the ability to perform speed test audits for clients, and ultimately bring in more money.

I believe there are a few parking lots in the area. I also know there's parking near the water on Christopher Columbus blvd.

Thanks to everyone who signed up so far for tomorrow's talk.

My plan is to keep things relaxed tomorrow. I haven't prepared any slides but I do have a few examples of WebpageTest that I'd like to go over.

If you have any sites that you'd like me to review please post them to the comments.
