Last month we hosted the Philly Tech Week WordPress Event, which was a huge success! We raised a total of $670 in ticket sales for charity. We still had some leftovers from WordCamp Philly last year, so we were able to round up the total donation amount. I'm excited to announce that the Philly WordPress Community has just donated $1,000 to Nonprofit Technology Resources in Philly!
I just want to personally thank everyone who attended, and the speakers, for making this happen! We have a pretty amazing WordPress Community in Philly and it's growing stronger everyday.
If you were unable to attend the event you can view the presentations below:
Creating Themes and Child Themes - Tracy Levesque - http://www.slideshare.net/thetracyl/creating-wordpress-childthemes-philly-tech-week-2012
Intro to WordPress Plugins - Doug Stewart - http://www.slideshare.net/zamoose/intro-to-plugins
Reed's presentation, WordPress for Beginners, was a demonstration presentation. We hope to have the video for his presentation online shortly.
We're working on organizing the next WordPress Meetup, so stay tuned!
