Join the Philadelphia Writers Group and share your creative nonfiction: Personal essays, professional papers, book manuscripts, whatever. We meet twice a month to share our work and receive helpful, positive critiques. We have developed a collegial style, and we're comfortable sharing writing with other like-minded people.
When you come, please bring a typed manuscript, up to 500 words, in 12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced. Bring enough copies for the people who have signed up. We meet in a private location in Center City -- at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of the month. This Meetup costs $10 per session.
I lead the discussions, sharing lessons from decades of writing and teaching adults to write. I expect you to comment -- kindly, helpfully -- on other people's contributions. You'll learn from editing as well as from writing.
After signing up, please e-mail me at writerphiladelphia at gmail dot com and ask for the actual address.
