What says summer better than the sweet ripe peaches that grace the farms of southeastern Pennsylvania? August is peach season. So, after a nice hike to get the blood flowing, we will go and pick our hearts content.
So, come one, come all and join me for a fun, moderate hike through the woods of French Creek State Park. This hike is good, solid exercise. But, it is not super challenging. We will hike about 6.5 miles through a course that rolls up and down the hillside. The total elevation gain for the day is about 700 feet. So, there will be times when your heart is pounding and you break a little sweat. But you will never go up more than 300 feet on any one hill.
Then, we will caravan to a local orchard for my favorite fruit of summer, peaches! (They may also have apples and pears depending on weather/crop.) The Orchard sells the fruit by the basket. Cost of fruit is not included in hike.
So, join me, satisfy your need to get out and explore.
