Devil's Pulpit Hike and Beer!

  • August 10, 2014 · 10:00 AM

Join us for an ascent to Devil's Pulpit, atop which there are spectacular views of the Lehigh Gap area. This 6 mile trek is a great hike as it has open views of Blue Mountain and the Lehigh River from above. The hike starts with a steep but short ascent to Devil's Pulpit. We'll then return through a forested section of the Appalachian Trail.

After the hike, we will reward ourselves with good food and tasty brews at Allentown Brew Works. Housed in an historic building in the heart of Allentown, the Brew Works offers a large variety of beers, all brewed on site.

Clothing and Equipment: Hiking boots, sun block, rain gear, and water bottle.

Directions: Directions will be sent to all paid registrants.

Does the $15 include a bus ride there and back?

Mike, TerraMar doesn't provide transportation, but you can work with them to organize carpools!

Can someone let me know what the $15 covers?

I asked the same thing days ago and got no answer.

Pauline and Mike, the $15 covers the cost of maintaining the website(s), water and other supplies, and the cost of Wilderness First Aid certification for the guides, among other things. Evan/Carl, let me know if I missed anything!

Such an amazing hike! After hiking around here a ton, I'm always excited to find new places, and Evan picked a gem. It was just the right length and the weather was perfect. The group was great too, so much fun! Can't wait for the next one.

Are pets allowed on this event? (obviously skipping the restaurant would be necessary)

Yes-you can bring a dog as long as they are well behaved and can stay on a leash.

Indeed, there are many things that involve the use of money in our everyday lives. The Obama Administration's Affordable Care Act would cost American households about half of what they would pay under Mitt Romney's proposed healthcare plan. That was the conclusion of a recent study. A https://personalmoneynetwork.com/cash-advance/.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
