What is TerraMar Running?!
Welcoming, supportive, and a little crazy (in the best way possible)- the TerraMar running team is going to push you to run faster and further than you ever thought you could. We will start out training for the Broad Street race (10 mile) and push ourselves even further to make it to the ODDyssey half-marathon (13 miles)!
We want runners! Joggers! Brisk Walkers! We want people of all paces and levels.
This season is gearing up to be our biggest and best yet! The calendar will soon be filled up with meandering Saturday runs, gut busting trail races, and truly unique half marathons.
Here’s the breakdown: The team will meet for long runs on Saturdays, at Kelly Drive (don’t worry, it won’t be just the loop, we will take advantage of Fairmount Park!) and in the local parks (Valley Forge, Wissahickon, etc). There will be both beginner and advanced training plans and running groups.
Additionally, Coach Mike will outline 2-3 weekly workouts that you will do on your own, or with members in your neighborhood.
The first team practice is just two weeks away- February 23rd!
This meeting, on Saturday February 9th, is in preparation for our fist training run. We will give you an overview of what this running team is all about, get paperwork and payments out of the way, and of course, finally meet one another! This will be a short meeting, an hour max.
Please try your hardest to attend this meeting, not only will you know who to look for on the first day, but all of the logistics will be out of the way.
