Introduction
I'm a lifelong seeker of adventure-physical and intellectual. For my 21st birthday, I wanted to skydive. It wasn't to be, but it's on my bucket list. I have been able to pursue contact with the natural world in more and less adreneline-pumping ways.
What do you do when your're not traveling? (Describe work and hobbies)
I run "MediaMaid": people give me their visual media & I create presentations that capture memories. I'm learning Japanese, pursue photography and English Country Dancing. Main hobby is finding mini-adventures and little-known attractions.
What age do you fall under? 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+
40-49 A youthful 45!
Tell us about your favorite outdoor adventure?
My most memorable adventures have taken place in Hawaii. Along with my husband, I took a flight on an ultralight over the North Shore; we encountered sharks in the open water, safely from inside a shark cage and we kayaked to a "sunken" island.
What countries or other states have you visited? Where is your favorite place located? And tell us why?
CA, NV, UT, WY, IA, TX, NM, IL, IN, VA, WV, ME, CT, MA, VT, NY, NJ, RI, DE, MD, PA, AZ and HI. Outside US: England, Netherlands, France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. I love Maine; Paris; Hawaii and California. Dream is to visit Japan.
What destinations and/or types of trips do you want to do with this group?
Hiking; kayaking; rockclimbing; horsebackriding; surfing; bungie jumping; skydiving--general adventuring and making friends.
