If I have to be honest, I am 50+ But if I don't have to be honest, I try to get away with being forty-something!
France, England, Austria, Belgium, Lichtenstein, Germany, Switzerland, Mexico, Costa Rica, Canada, Maui, Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan,New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Florida. 18 states to go. And I have Peru at the top of my travel list. My favorite place to date is Maui. It is simply breathtaking. I hiked in the caldera of the volcano, hiked in the lava fields, hiked the beaches, hiked in a bamboo forest, hiked to beautiful hidden waterfalls, stood at the edge of deadly cliffs staring out at the vast ocean in every direction, and crawled deep into a cave slithering through cracks on my stomach and wondering if today would be the day that I died....It was insane, but an incredible experience.
I am up for just about anything that is outdoors. I will travel locally, within the country or abroad. I enjoy hiking the most. But I also like to hike in order to actually see something, as opposed to just hiking for the sake of hiking. For me, hiking is about seeing that beautiful view that I never saw before, a striking landscape, an active volcano, a deep canyon, or a tall pyramid that rises out of nowhere.
I spend time with my husband and children just enjoying life. We love being outdoors. We hunt, fish, practice shooting, go camping, ride bikes, go waterskiing and tubing, snow skiing, river rafting, and on rainy cold days we love watching movies. I am a dentist (University of Pennsylvania). My husband owns a mechanical contracting company.
Wow! Tough one! I think that I have to say that it's a tie between a canyoneering trip near Zion National Park, and a waterfall rappelling trip in Costa Rica. Both were awesome. We took a private guide on our canyoneering trip, a full day of climbing up through the canyon and then rappelling back down. The waterfall rappelling trip was similar except that we went to the top of a mountain in jeeps and then rappelled down a series of waterfalls spending most of the day soaking wet!
I love to hike. If I could go on a hike every day, I would.
Awesome first hike and roller coaster ride with group! Looking forward to joining the group again!
