Informal Group Critique

This is a free event for all Contributor Members. Admission is $15 for everyone else, payable at the door.

There is no better way to develop as a photographer than to receive constructive criticism.

The PPL is giving members the opportunity to do just that at our informal group critiques. Share your work with other PPL members, and see what others are shooting, in this casual yet serious atmosphere.

Participants are required to bring approximately ten images in print form. Each person will have 15 minutes dedicated to his/her work, and since everyone seemed to like the whiteboard exercise, participants will have the option of doing their crit that way or having a specific issue in their work addressed, (or a little of both).

Be prepared to receive and give input, as everyone is invited to take part in the discussion. If you do not have work ready, but would like to participate, please do not RSVP on MeetUp, but email Dale with your intentions. Priority will be given to those who have work, and those without will be allowed to participate only if space allows. Space is limited to ten participants.

Alrighty, so normally the next one would be in October, since we do crits quarterly... We could potentially still have a summer one in August and have the fall one in October, on schedule. There's a Streets of Philadelphia info session scheduled for Sunday, August 3rd from 2 - 4 PM. How about we have the crit afterwards, 4 - 7 PM?

I would come in Aug., maybe Sept.

That may be wise. I'll get in touch with Pano to let him know.
If people could chime in as to whether we should just scratch the summer crit, or if we should reschedule for August, that would be a big help.
    Thanks!

I vote on rescheduling in August and on.

I would probably attend a crit in August, depending on the day and time, but I am also perfectly happy to wait for September.

I'm taking it we're off for tonight.

I'm still able to make it but at the rate we're going, it seems worth rescheduling.

You guys are dropping like flies! Pano and Charles, are you still able to make it?...

Sorry Dale for the last minute cancellation but another event that was postponed is now back on track and I am the photog for this event.

I had plenty of feedback last night and I do not have enough new prints to show.

I very much wanted to join you for this. My son changed his flight back to Chicago to later.

Too bad you can't make it, Rachel. I always enjoy seeing what you're shooting. Just means more anticipation for August!

Sorry to miss this! Dale runs a great critique session. Monday is usually a good day, just not 7/21.
