The PPL is about to undertake a major photo-documentary project titled "Streets of Philadelphia".
The scope of this project is to accurately portray everyday life in each of our fair city's neighborhoods (every single one). This will be a long term project, requiring well over a year to complete. It will have sponsorship by city government, and exposure to the public by major media outlets highlighting it's progress. The final deliverables will be a major exhibit followed by a published photo-book.
Participants may elect to be involved in part(s) of the project, or in its entirety.
The purpose of this meeting is so potential contributors may find out more details, and also be educated about the guidelines for participation.
Due to the importance and complexity of this undertaking, a series of meetings have been scheduled, with this being the third to take palce. The fourth, and final, meeting of this kind, will be scheduled later in August.
If you have already attended one of these meeting, it is not necessary to attend this one (although you are certainly free to do so), the multiple instances are simply to accommodate everyone's differing availability.
This undertaking is intended to be the PPL's defining project, much like the original Photo Leagues "Harlem Document". Member are encouraged to participate, and you should make every effort to attend one of these initial meetings.
