Hello again all,

I've got a little problem with numbers (I hate them and they know it) and made a mistake in my email. The first Friday in May is the 4th. Hope I didn't confuse too many people.

Sorry I haven't contacted you sooner.

I've heard from several members who attended the last Meetup and took the Philly Open Studio Tour and they all had a good time.

I was thinking about our next Meetup and Jennifer suggested we might like doing a "First Friday" Meetup. Here are some details of First Friday that I pulled from

"Every first Friday of the month, Second and Third streets are strewn with art gawkers, socializers and people just in search of free jug wine and crackers. Mostly, it's a great way to browse art -- from expensive to downright cheap -- without being stared down by a snooty gallery owner. Each month offers an ever-changing lineup of artists and exhibits.

Some staples of the First Friday scene are The Painted Bride, Nexus Gallery and Space 1026. Even the small boutiques and cafes get into the scene, displaying art or at the very least serving up some free liquor for passers-by. Don't be surprised though if you have to wait outside to get in; First Friday is one of the highlights of the Philadelphia art scene and art
lovers, scenesters, posers and the like come out in hordes, both to see and be seen."

Sounds interesting so I'll throw the idea out there for the members to kick around. If this suggestion does get momentum and becomes a plan, we obviously can't make the November scene 'cause that is tomorrow. We'd have to schedule it for December First. I suppose we would all meet somewhere before we browse and if people feel like going to a Cafe or
somewhere else afterwords, those plans will have to be made then.

I'll have more specific details when I get some feedback about the idea.
